Todd Zahacy is a Senior Engineering Consultant in the E&P Division of C‑FER Technologies – an upstream research and development company located in Edmonton, Alberta.
Mr. Zahacy has worked on a broad range of projects in the upstream oil & gas and geothermal sectors, including: simulation software and technologies to better understand and improve the performance and reliability of wellbores; the development of a thermal well integrity risk-ranking models (SPE 196081); numeric simulation and lab testing projects evaluating the mechanical and hydraulic barrier integrity of cement systems; taught industry courses; and contributed to peer reviews, technical publications and industry presentations on wellbore construction, completion design, wellbore integrity, fluid flow, heat transfer, artificial lift and downhole flow control.
Mr. Zahacy holds BSc degrees in Biochemistry and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, is a member of the APEGA, and active in a number of technical societies including CHOA, GRC and SPE.
